No Fear Store
The owner of Orange County’s only No Fear store at The Outlets at Orange recently closed that store.
Ryderz Compound bought nearly all of No Fear’s three dozen stores along the West Coast for $3.1 million out of bankruptcy last year, according to The Wall Street Journal. The Orange store was among those purchased. Last month, XRyderz, which like No Fear is a motocross lifestyle retailer, opened at Westfield MainPlace in Santa Ana.
“The store was moved because the property was turning into an outlet,” Ryderz marketing manager Ashmore Bodiford said of the mall that recently changed its name from The Block at Orange. ”XRyderz has no plans of opening an outlet store, so we moved our team to the Westfield MainPlace location and opened a brand new store with new brands that the previous location at Orange did not offer yet.”
Carlsbad-based XRyderz currently operates 35 stores under the XRyderz and No Fear names. All No Fear stores Ryderz bought will be renovated and renamed XRyderz. Ryderz does not own the licensing for No Fear. Another company bought the rights to manufacture the No Fear clothing line. Ryderz will continue to sell the No Fear, So Cal and Fearless brands that sold in No Fear stores.
